Shri Mandlecha started his career from Chembur High School as a teacher. He was one of the members to start Swami Muktanand High School and Jawahar Vidya Bhavan. He started AFAC English School & Jr. College in 1964 with the support of Shri B. G. Karekar, Shri K. Y. Pandit and Shri Devicharan Trivedi. He also helped in the development of Mehta Sarvoday Vidyalay and Acharya Marathe College.
